In this interview with AFASPRESS, Tamilore speaks on her life as a student, a fashionpreneur, and an OAP
Afas Press: May we meet you?

Tamilore: My name is Tamilore James. Student. Fashionpreneur. Creative writer. Public speaker and an OAP in the pipeline.

Afas Press: What area of fashion do you work in?

Tamilore: I’m currently the Creative Director of an Afro Centric Cloth line named Tam Tops. A brand that makes do with African prints to make ready-made Ankara Tops for ladies and other fashion accessories.

Afas Press: Hmm nice!

So, I read your bio and it has it that you speak, write, sew, teach, farm. How do you combine all of these as a student?

Tamilore: Thank you. I am adventurous and inquisitive, thus I get to develop interest across multiple fields, so there’s even more to me than that bio right now. I recently started my journey to fitness and wellness, and I’m pursuing a career in that line among other things but each time I get this question I realize that most people underestimate what can be done in 24 hours. Proper planning and a clear vision is how I handle them all. I know what I want, and I don’t stop going at it until I get it.

Afas Press : Impressive I must say.

How did you start farming, sewing, speaking, and now fitness and wellness? How did it all start?

Tamilore: Thank you so much. Beautiful question there but I’ve answered a part of it in the previous question, so I’ll give a brief answer that goes: as we grow, so does our interests and so does our involvement. Gone are the days of Jack of all trades, master of none. If you put your head in the game? You can master all.

Afas Press: Would you share with us what Early Childhood Education is about?

Tamilore: Oh yes! That’s one part of my schooling I’m most proud of.

Early Childhood Education is one of the best courses in the world! You know why? It tackles education from its foundations—children and remember. “if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

ECE has to do with the Holistic development and growth of young children from age 0-6.

Afas Press: Truly what can the righteous do if the foundation be destroyed? That would be a mess.

How do you work on advertisement for your brand? (There was this one time I watched you on NTA TV station).

Yes, I was in an interview with NTA sometimes this year, I went for an Afro-centric exhibition and trade fair organized by Jadeas Trust at A culture Center, it was basically to Promote Niger entrepreneurs. I was featured on NTA as one of the outstanding brands in attendance and not basically for advertisement.

Tamilore: Smiles.

I’m upping my game this new fashion season and I intend using student influencers for my New line in the Jara Collection set to be released early October. Keep your fingers crossed!

Afas Press: You be doing soooo much! I love the zeal

Your entrepreneurship ideas are A game. Did you ever attend any business school or they all just come natural?

Tamilore: Smiles. I’m honored. Thank you.

Never attended a business school. In fact, I just got a business Masterclass Scholarship and that’s my first. I owe what I am to God, and in my yearning for knowledge, I read business books. Watch a lot of videos. Attend business conferences. And I have great friends that serve as my brand advisors, in person of Tosin and Arinze, two young business brainees.

Afas Press: That is great.

In your picture of the next few years, what can you say you would be?

Tamilore: Excellent! At whatever I’ll be doing by the time.

Afas Press: As a student and entrepreneur, has schooling ever affected your business in any way?

Tamilore: Only positively. School gives me various opportunities to leverage on and scale business productivity

Afas Press: Okay, Great.

How’s been the semester for you so far?

Tamilore: My semester has been super chill. I’ve got lesser workload this semester. I’m using that opportunity to seek for opportunities outside school and focus more on personal development and fleshing up my company.

Afas Press: Nice!

How do you plan to do so?

Tamilore: By applying for them and going all out in the search for knowledge. Learning never ends!
