UI SRC Approves N4.6 Million Budget for Freshers’ Week, Convenes Congress

The University of Ibadan Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has approved a budget of ₦4,600,460.00, as presented by the Finance Committee, to fund the Freshers’ Week Welcome Programme.

The 12th Assembly granted approval during its first ordinary sitting held on Saturday, 10th May 2025.

The programme aims to welcome and initiate new students into the institution’s traditions and values.

Similarly, at the sitting, the Council resolved to convene a Congress on 17th May, 2025.

The Congress is expected to serve as a platform for students to tender their concerns, articulate their demands, and propose actionable recommendations to the university management.
