University of Ibadan Sports Team Set for Pre-NUGA Showdown

The University of Ibadan (UI) Sports Team will begin their bid for qualification into the NUGA Games 2025 with a series of Pre-NUGA events scheduled for September 25-27, 2025, on home turf.

The three-day event will feature several sporting competitions, including Football, Basketball, Handball, Swimming, Scrabble, and Track and Field, among others.

These events serve as the preliminary stage for athletes hoping to qualify for the prestigious NUGA Games.

In the Football event, the University of Ibadan male team will face off against the University of Lautech team tomorrow, September 25, 2025, at the New Football Stadium, Awo, at 10:00 AM.

The match is considered a crucial fixture for UI, with a win essential for their qualification in the Inter-University competition.
