With the university and Awo Hall management still in gear of installing a better barricade and tight security system into Awo, the hall has yet again been hit by a security breach.

It was allegedly reported on the 22nd of July, 2019 that a theft case occurred at about 10: 40pm. The suspect was said to have smuggled into the room when the occupants were not there. The room, C15, was met with a broken locked, a scattered room and a stolen piggybank.

The unidentified suspect fled the scene before immediate actions could be melted out.

It would be recalled that the school has assured residents of the hall that drastic measures were going to be taken to ensure their safety and peace of mind but as it would appear, the break in accelerated the fears and concern of the entire students of the institution.

The males from their halls of residence had, however, fled to the scene to stall threats. The hashtag #SecureAwo and #OperationclearAwoBush were immediately dispatched to call out to students to assist in clearing the surrounding bushes of the hall in order to protect students’ lives and properties.
