The University of Ibadan management has panned out security measures to be followed by all the female halls of residence on a release on Monday, August 12 2019, in view of the security issues going on around the campus.
In the release, female visitors are to be screened at the porter’s lodge while male visitors are prohibited from entering all the female halls of residence and they can only be received outside the hall. Male visitors can only stay around the premises till 8:30pm or else any male found loitering would be regarded as suspect.
However, with the recent burglary case at Abdulsalam hall where students were injured and many valuables carted away, the university management in a recent release has assured students and stakeholders on the intensified efforts they are taking to reinforce and restructure the security system and apparatus in the campus.
