Fans Arrested for Opening DJ Arafat’s Coffi

Ange Didier Houon popularly known as DJ Arafat, an Ivorian singer and DJ died on the 12th of August, 2019 due to a motorcycle accident that happened in August. The 33-year-old was buried on the 30th of August in a private cemetery in Abidjan. A party was held overnight were DJ Arafat’s friends and fans gathered to celebrate the life of the Francophone music legend. Friends like Davido performed at the party. After the party, some of the fans who were finding the death of DJ Arafat hard to believe overpowered the policemen who were guarding the private cemetery where DJ Arafat was buried and entered the place. The grave and coffin of DJ Arafat was opened before the police could control the situation. Twelve of the fans were arrested in the process. In a press statement from the Mayor of Abidjan, Vincent Tohbi Irié, he stated that “investigations continue for the arrest of all culprits”
