The Association of Faculty of Arts Students’ staff adviser, Dr. Adams Akeula, has warned the association’s faculty legislative council to put their house in order because there are some things he should not intervene in.

He said this while on a phone call interview with AFAS press.  He made the statement as he talked on the recent resignations happening in the house and resolutions they made at the recently held stakeholders meeting.

“Anybody that wants to resign has the rights to do so, but in that resignation, have you collected the letters of resignation? They said they have collected from two but they haven’t collected from others. I said to them, go and put your house in order, because there are some things I should not intervene. The resolution was that they should go back up there.”

He also pointed out the shortcomings of the Council of Presidents and Secretaries (CPS) and the Faculty Legislative Council.

“Some people are not functioning the way they are supposed to do and that is the CPS and the FLC. The FLC already formed caucuses and that caucus has limited the way they use the constitution. They do not allow the constitution to portray but they use the constitution for what benefits them.”

He also revealed that some of the members of the house and CPS are yet to pay their basic dues.
