This week, we bring to you the popular Nigerian artist known as Falz.
Falz the BAHD guy is a well-known Nigerian artist with the birth name Folarin Falana. A 29 years old Nigerian rapper, song writer and actor. Falz, his stage name is a short form form Falana, while BAHD is an accronymn which stands for Brilliant And Highly Dinstint. According to him, he has a shy personality and uses his alter ego Broda Taju, who is the bolder and crazy him on stage. He says, it is a persona and part of his brand.
Although he is certified lawyer who was called to bar in 2012, he discovered his love for music while in secondary school, where he formed a group with some of his classmates called ‘school Boys’. He came to the music world in 2009 and has since then produced a lot of songs. Some of which are, Stories that Tough in 2015, Chemistry with Simi, Soldier, Jamb Question, Baby Boy, sweet boy etc. He has also featured in movies such as Jennifer Diary in 2015, Chief Daddy in 2018, Couple of Days etc. He has won awrds such as, Best Supporting Actor in 2018, Streams Award in 2016, Best Actor in Comedy Series and lots more.
He’s Net Worth is about $4.1. He has a unique genre of music which he calls Wazup music. He says music to him his passion and stressed that he does not see himself doing anything else for a living. He has a clothing line called ” Ello Bea” after his hit single “Ello Bea” in 2014.
He has been tagged by Nigerian and admirers as being fearless and compared to late afro beat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who was widely known for speaking societal ills as parpertuated by people in government. This unique characteristics can also be seen some of Falz songs. An example is “This is Nigeria”, which was inspired by Gambino’s “This is America” . It highlighted major Nigerian issues, including bribery and corruption.
