At some point, they were 10th on the table. They bounced back quite well and have been really impressive. Many pundits have touted them as potential winners of the premier league. If they do win, it will be their 3rd Premier league title in 4 years. They hold a 11-point lead over second placed Manchester United and a 12-point lead over third placed Leicester City.

Their 3-0 win against AC Milan has made their title bids look serious. They hold a 7-point lead over title defenders Juventuswho have a game in hand. It will increase to a 10-point gap if they beat Atalanta in their game in hand. As the season progresses, Inter Milan are looking like the likely winners of the Serie A.

4 Germany/Bayern Munich

There is absolutely no surprise here. Bayern Munich are in their usual place leading the rest of the pack in the German Bundesliga. They hold a 2-point lead over 2nd placed Rb Leipzig. They recently beat Borussia Dortmund 4-2 in the Der Klasiker with Robert Lewandowski scoring a hattrick. They are well on their way to winning their ninth Bundesliga in a row. Bayern Munich are also doing very well in the Champions league.

5 France/ Lille

The French league has been the most surprising one so far. Lille has been impressive in the French Ligue 1. They hold a two-point lead over Paris Saint Germain. Lille has been more than impressive in the league. They have managed to limit a star-studded Paris Saint Germain to second place.
