FLC Approves Dean’s Cup Budget

The Faculty Legislative Council (FLC) of Association of Faculty of Arts Students(AFAS) have approved a sum of #270,375 for the upcoming dean’s cup event.
This took place in the plenary session that held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the SRC chamber, in the Students Union Building (SUB)
The council first objected at allowing the sports’ director, Ayegbami Yusuff to present the budget as the document did not address the house nor did it have a date on it. He was later allowed to present on consideration that the event is already near as it was slated to start on Monday, 4 October 2021.
The house contemplated whether the male and female teams should be given the same prize winning money but after much deliberation the sum of #30,000 prize winner was approved for the male winner and the female category winner will get the sum of #20,000
Hon. Olasoji quizzed the sports’ director if the the Dean of the faculty would be supporting the event since the event is to honour him. The sports director answered that he had contacted the Sub Dean who said that he would speak with the Dean to support the event.
