Williams Neyen Emerges as New TLDS President

Williams Neyen, a 400 Level student of the Faculty of Law has emerged as the New President of The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan.

The election took place at the Kenneth Mellanby Hall JCR on Friday, December 17, 2021, immediately after the Manifesto session that saw every aspirant present their plans to the TLDS Senate.

Neyen served as the Public Relations Officer during the Ayeni OtitoJesu Joshua-led administration and would be inaugurated as the President of the 8th administration alongside other aspirants that emerged.

Other aspirants that emerged are; Adebayo Abdulrahman, a 200 Level Student of Political Science as the Vice President; Chineke Ugochukwu, a third-year student of Law as the General Secretary and Akinleye Goodness, Public Relations Officer.

Speaking after the election, Neyen lauded the outgoing administration and further noted that “ I plan on building on the legacies that have been set. I look forward to achieving great and impactful feats with the rest of the team.”
