JUST IN: ASUU DECLARES NATIONWIDE STRIKE

The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has declared a one-month nationwide strike.
The strike would commence on February 14, 2022.
This announcement follows the marathon ASUU NEC meeting that was held over the weekend at the University of Lagos.
Addressing journalists in a Press Conference on Monday in Lagos, the National President of the Union, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke said the industrial action which begins immediately is “ comprehensive and total.”
The union’s demand include funding for revitalization of public universities, earned academics allowances, renegotiation of 2009 ASUU-FGN Agreement, and the inconsistencies in Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System Payment.
