Hon. Bankole Temitope Emerges As CPS Chairman

The Council of Presidents and Secretaries (CPS), on Friday, elected into office, the new Executive Council.


The election which was held immediately after the presentation of manifestos in Room 71 saw Hon. Bankole Temitope, the President of the European studies emerge as the Chairman of the council.


He pulled 22 votes to defeat his main opponent, Okewole Charles Tolulope, the immediate past Secretary of the Council who pulled 6 votes of the total votes cast during the election.


Meanwhile, Merotiwon Oluwatoyin, the President of the Department of Religion Studies also emerged as the Vice-Chairman, unopposed and Yusuf AbdulMuqsit of the Department of Arabics & Islamic Studies as the Council’s General Secretary.
