AFAS Legislative Council Approves CRC, ID Card Budgets

The Legislative Council for the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS) has approved the sum of N66, 000 for the constitution review committee (CRC) and also approved N278, 400 for Students’ ID card in the plenary that was held during the weekend.

In a Letter previously addressed to the house, the Constitution Review Committee which comprises twenty-one members proposes to hold fifteen meetings out of which three has been held and in order to “provide suitable and acceptable constitutional amendment and review” the committee has presented a budget of the sum of N66, 000 for refreshment. The budget caters for 15 members, as according to the Speaker, 15 members have been in attendance in the previous three meetings.

Meanwhile, the executive council also got approval of the budget to make provisions for ID card for financial members of the association for the session. The council explained that five hundred and eighty students (580) have paid for their ID Card and the sum of Two Hundred and seventy eight thousand, four hundred Naira (N278, 400) will be needed for the production of the Identification Card. The plastic ID card will be produced at a unit price of #300 and the card jacket, at a unit price of #180.
