BEST FANTASY FICTIONS TO READ THIS DECEMBER

I have found that reading is a great way to improve the overall wellness of the mind and it does not hurt if you can have fun whilst doing it. The holiday is coming, some would be going home to stay with family, some would go on outings with their special someone and some would be in school. Having a non-educational book to keep you company can help in stalling boredom. So how about I recommend a few of my top 5 fantasy novels this year?
5. THE DIABOLIC by SJ Kincaid
A fictional masterpiece that examines love, loyalty and friendship. The Diabolics are living weapons genetically engineered to serve humans. Although they have the general human structure, they are bigger, stronger, faster and also have homicidal impulses. Nemesis, the protagonist, is a diabolic serving her best friend and master, a Galactic senator’s daughter. Things go downhill when she is ordered to pretend to be her master, whom she would protect with her life or die trying.
4. THE BONE WITCH by Rin Chupeco
A young adult fantasy novel published in 2017 and first of its series. The story revolves around Tea, a teen with the ability to raise the dead, who finds herself caught in a struggle for power as she explores her newfound abilities after she accidentally resurrects her brother. A story of scorned witches and sinister curses; what’s there not to love?
3. THE NOVICE by Taran Matharu
Fletcher, a blacksmith’s apprentice discovers his ability to summon demons from the underworld and gets admitted to an academy where he trains to become a battlemage. Somehow, the fate of the empire now lies in his hands, but does being able to summon mean he can win a war? Find out in this fantasy adventure featuring magic, demons and teenage life drama!
2. COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES by Sarah J Maas
Sarah J Maas is my all-time favorite fantasy author. She has no single bad book and this one does not disappoint. Perfect for fans of JK Holmberg and George R Martin, the story revolves around Feyre, a nineteen years old huntress and a fae king. She is thrown into a world full of politics and evil machinations where she is not only expected to survive but to also save the inhabitants, even though all she knows is to hunt and kill. Explore this new world filled with magic, betrayal, adventure and Love with our daring heroine.
1. FIREFLY by India Millah
This Japanese historical fiction puts emphasis on family, loyalty, honor, faith and friendship altogether. Fans of Mulan would totally love this, as it depicts the bravery of a woman fighting for her family’s honor in a world where honor itself is a privilege reserved just for men, where being a woman puts you at a disadvantage. Our heroine, Keiko breaks these boundaries one by one and marks her place in the world as a warrior woman of the Samurai.
