Arts Wins Lanre Bello Inter-Faculty Debate

The Faculty of Arts, Saturday, won the 12th edition of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), University of Ibadan Chapter annual Lanre Bello inter-faculty debate ( LBIFD) competition.

The competiton which held at the First Bank Building of the Faculty of Agriculture saw the representatives of the Faculty of Arts Literary & Debating Society representatives Okunsanya Goodnews and Ososanya Yetunde finishing in the first place.

This edition was in two categories; Debate & Oratory. The topic for the oratory was ‘The Future of the Nigerian Educational System’ while the debate topic was ‘Is Privatization of the Educational System the Solution to the Education Pandemic?
The faculty of Arts representatives defeated thirteen other representatives to emerge joint winner and they were awarded N50, 000 cash prize.
