AFAS Press Politics Editor selected for 2023 AFYMP journalism fellowship

AFAS Press Politics Editor, Olanshile Ogunrinu, has been selected for the 2023 edition of Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals.
Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) is a media career development based in Nigeria with operational country offices across Africa.
The fellowship is a fully funded media project basically designed to shape African democracy, ensure accountability and foster sustainable society by investing in the next generation of early career journalists. It covers areas of Media entrepreneurship & Niche Building, Campus journalism, Ethics, Safety, and fact-checking, Women in Journalism and Disability and Inclusion reporting.
It has been scheduled to hold in different batches in main cities across Nigeria from the 5th of July till the 3rd of August,2023.
While speaking on his selection, Olanshile expressed his excitement as the fellowship would avail him the opportunity to improve his journalistic knowledge and gain insights from the veterans in the field of journalism.
“I am thrilled to have been selected for this campus journalism fellowship! It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized for my passion and skills in journalism. It is a fellowship funded by major media organizations and I anticipate honing my journalistic abilities, gaining valuable insights from industry professionals. I am also optimistic that it will provide the platform and guidance I need to become an even better journalist”.
