UI SU Fixes Date for Town-hall Meeting with Vice Chancellor and Members of the University Management

The University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UISU) has fixed and announced a date to hold a town hall meeting with the Vice Chancellor and other members of the University management.

The Union, in a circular dated November 4, 2023, jointly signed by the SU president, Samuel Samson Tobiloba and the General Secretary, Olaniyi Sodeeq Dolapo, fixed Friday, November 10, 2023 for the town hall meeting.

“The town hall meeting with the Vice Chancellor and other members of the University management has been fixed for Friday, November 10 2023 by 4:00pm,” the circular read.

Also, it was noted in the circular that the Students’ Union President and the Vice President have met with the Vice Chancellor as regards the pressing issues affecting the students, as contained in the resolution of the Congress held weeks earlier.

In accordance with the resolution of the Congress held on Saturday 14th October, 2023, the Students’ Union President and the Vice President met with the Vice Chancellor to discuss the issues raised as itemized in the Congress resolution.”

Meanwhile, the Students’ Union has directed all students and organizations in the University of Ibadan to put the notification into consideration when planning their line of activities.

“All students of the University, and organizations on campus are hereby directed to factor this into the planning of their activities as all students are expected to attend,” the release concluded.
