AFAS FLC Tenders Apology to Hon. Adegoke, Directs Hon. Olalusi to Write a Public Apology Letter

Association of Faculty of Arts Students Legislative Council (AFAS FLC) has tendered an apology to the Honourable member representing the Archaeology and Anthropology constituency, Honourable Adegoke Damilare, who was also part of the Honourable members announced to have forfeited their seats in the Legislative Council.

In the plenary session held on Friday, February 23, 2023, the clerk of the House, Hon. Opeoluwa Olatunbosun, confirmed his attendance of the previous sittings where it was established that he had not missed three sittings consecutively.

The speaker of the House, Hon. Lukman Alagufon, apologised to him for including his name on the list of those who had forfeited their seat, thereby retaining his seat as an honourable member.

In another development, the House has directed the suspended honourable member, Hon. Susan Olalusi, to write a public apology letter within the next five working days. In a motion moved by Hon. Olufemi from the Linguistics constituency and seconded by Hon. Theophilus, the House agreed that Hon. Susan should write an apology letter for her misconduct at the last plenary session and to retract her statement calling for the scrapping of the FLC.

“She should write a public apology letter for her misconduct which should be pasted on the FLC board at the entrance of the faculty, and should retract her statement calling for the scrapping of the FLC, the letter should be tendered within five working days.”
