UISU Releases Protest Resolutions, Protest Continues Today as Union Makes Demand 

The University of Ibadan Students Union has released the resolutions made during the ongoing protest in the university campus.

The protest which began around 10pm on Tuesday due to the electricity rationing memo seen on the university’s website, had students rallying peacefully around the campus.

The resolutions made during the protest includes that there will be neither lectures or transportation within the campus on Wednesday and that the protest continues by 5am today with the Union executives expected to provide the available resources.

Others includes that the school authority must retract the memo announcing the electricity rationing. The total reversal and not reduction of the hiked school fees is also one of the demands of the Union.

The Union also called for an end to the ongoing victimization of the 3 students facing Students Disciplinary Case for the peaceful protest carried out on the 13th of May, 2024.
