AFAS Electoral College Announces Guidelines for By-Election
The Association of Faculty of Arts Students Electoral College has officially declared open the nomination process for the upcoming by-election.
According to the statement released on Wednesday, Interested candidates can purchase forms starting Thursday, November 14, 2024, until Monday, November 18, 2024.
The statement signed by the college chairman, Oziegbe Kehinde, the General Secretary, Faith Adediran, and the Public Relations Officer, Okolie Ifeanyi, to be eligible, candidates must be financial members of the association for the current session and have a minimum CGPA of 2.20. It further stated that only students from levels 200 and above are eligible to contest.
Recall that the Mojuba-led Team New Era has been without a Vice President, Financial Secretary and Sports Director since the beginning of the session due to no candidate expressing interest when the election was conducted last session.
“Aspiring candidates must publicly declare their intention to contest and obtain the nomination form from the General Secretary of the Electoral College for ₦2,000.
“All aspirants must not have any pending cases with the Students Disciplinary Council (SDC),” the statement reads.
