UI Reviews Intra-Campus Transport Fares

The University of Ibadan Student Union Complaints Committee (Task Force) has released a reviewed intra-campus transport fares and made it available to the university community.
The prices as reviewed are as follows; Queen’s Hall, Alumni Hall, Bookshops, Catholic Church, Mellanby, Tedder, SUB, Kuti, Bello – N100, Benue Road, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Agriculture, Independence Hall, Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall, Chapel, Mosque – N150.
The following routes now cost N200 (two hundred naira only), Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social Sciences, Botanical Garden, Vet Junction, Awo Hall, Idia Hall, Abdulsalam Hall, Palm 77, Talent Hostel, PG College, Staff Club, Anatomy, UI Coop, Maintenance, Diamond FM, Staff School, ICC, Second Gate, and Gate Abadina.
The routes that are now N300 (Three hundred naira only) include; All residential areas, Awo Stadium, Poly Gate, Ajibode (Cemetery Junction), DLC Sasa, PAULESI, Adebayo Akande Hall, Institute of Education, Business School, IPPS, CPEEL, UI Ajibode Extension, while Lakoto is N400 (four hundred naira only).
Also, car drop is N600 (Six hundred naira only) and N300 for tricycle drop of one passenger to places where the fees for a single person is N100 and tricycle drop costs N500 for places where the fee for a single person person is N200 according to the list released.
The release included a note that “overcharging of fares is extortion and it is punishable with commensurate fine”
