Faculty of the Year Awards: ‘I hope the legacy lives on’ – Mojuba

The Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS) won Best Faculty of the Year at the just-concluded University of Ibadan Student Union Week.

The award presented at the Variety Night was received on behalf of the association by the president of the association, members of the executive council, and some AFASites present at the event.

The President, Olamilekan Adeniyi (Mojuba), while speaking with AFAS Press said, “All Faculty Presidents were told to submit the activities for the administration which we did , peradventure Art is the one considered with the most outstanding and life equipping events for us to have been declared the awardee”.

While being asked if there was a process of nomination and voting, he stated that though there was a nomination list for other categories, there was none for the Faculty of Year and Hall of the Year

Mojuba asserted that it “is an honor to preside over the prestigious Faculty for over 7 months”. Adding that “we may not have been able to bag this award without the outstanding contributions of all my executive members. While I acknowledge the support and cooperation of all AFASites and the Faculty management for the smooth tenure, it is essential that I appreciate all our sponsors over time. They are indeed the crucial tools that helped us get this award. I hope the legacy lives on!”
