Basic Dues Required for Dean’s Cup Participation, Says AFAS Sports Director

The Association of Faculty of Arts Students Director of Sports has requested the names of players to represent each department in the faculty on or before January 15, 2025.

The call was made in a letter made available to the press titled “Request for Players List for Upcoming Dean’s Cup Games and Payment of Association Dues” dated 5th January, 2025.

The letter read in part “The list is expected to comprise of names of 15 male, and 10 female football players from your department”. Adding the clause that “it is mandatory that all players representing your department have paid the association basic due of N3000 for the current academic session.”

Sports Directors were encouraged to ensure the payment of dues by their players to validate their participation. The deadline for submission as stated in the letter is 15th January, 2025 as the competition would most likely commence this month”, the letter asserted.

The Departmental Sports Directors were enjoined to contact the Faculty’s Sports Director in the case of any inquiries or player details submissions.
