UCJ UI Set to Hold Journalism Workshop

The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan (UCJUI) in conjunction with Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) is set to hold a journalism workshop for campus journalists.
The workshop, titled Mastering Specialised Beats in Journalism, is scheduled to be held on Friday, January 10th, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the Faculty of Arts New Building, University of Ibadan.
According to a release signed by Tarre Tosanwunmi, president of UCJ UI, the speakers include Paul Omoreghe, Features Editor of the Nigerian Tribune; Faith Omoniyi, reporter of TechCabal; Adedamola Oloyede, Broadcast Journalist of WellRadio; Adeola Bankole, Broadcast Journalist of Fresh FM; and Yinka Olaiya, ED of AFYMP.
The release also enlisted expectations of participants to be, insights on impactful journalism, Hands-on reporting techniques, Expert sessions, Networking opportunities. With a note of advice to Campus Journalists “Don’t miss this chance to enhance your reporting skills and make a difference.”
The release stressed that the training is “a sponsored workshop and the sponsor, AFYMP is making provisions for only 32 CJs, therefore we have to control attendance.” Interested applicants were advised to register through the link made available in the release.
