In an interview with the AFASIEC Chairman, Kehinde Oziegbe, on why only six hundred (600) ballot papers were printed, he revealed that the funding approved for the commission to run the election is low.
“We got limited funding for the whole election process, which affected the planning, and we are also trying to be considerate to AFASites and the aspirants in the sense that we want the election to be conducted before the exam. We also had to improvise on the format of the ballot papers to save cost.” He said.
Recall that earlier today, AFASIEC released the list of compiled accredited voters totalling about 1018 names while having only 600 printed ballot papers.
The election is still ongoing and AFASites are out in numbers to cast their votes.
