The Association of Faculty of Arts FLC, during its valedictory service on Saturday, March 1st, has suspended the clearance of Akinsumbo Gbadamosi, the Association of Faculty of Arts Students Assistant General Secretary (AFAS AGS), from office, pending the submission of further evidence showcasing the proof of inauguration.

This decision came shortly after the clearance of the association’s General Secretary, Abiola Samuel, from office.

During Akinsumbo’s clearance, concerns were raised about the authenticity of Akinsumbo’s inauguration by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Miqdad, and some members of the Council, bothering on the issue of the difference in his date of inauguration and that of other executives.

However, Akinsumbo failed to present any evidence of his own inauguration during when he was on the floor.

In a conversation with AFAS Press, Akinsumbo noted that he was not around during the initial inauguration of the executive members which occured in May. “I was later inaugurated by Dr. Ajayi upon resumption with the presence of AFAS President, Olamilekan Adeniyi, who’s in the possession of the proof of inauguration,” he said.

To get his clearance done, he has been requested by the house to present a clear proof of inauguration into office or a picture showing necessary details.
