SIEGE IN TIMI DAKOLO’S HOUSE
On the 20th of July 2019, Timi Dakolo made a report about the appearance of armed men in front of his Lagos residence on his instagram page. He stated that the men were heavily armed. Sequel to this, Segun Awosanya, a lawyer, shared pictures of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) who had gone to rescue the Dakolos.
It was later discovered that these armed men were men from the investigative team of the Nigerian Police Force from Abuja who had come to get the Dakolos for an interrogative session. The session took place in Abuja. Timi Dakolo then accused the Nigerian Police Force of bribery because according to him, it was unfair that the Police was asking for another round of interrogative session while he had not heard about the Police interrogating Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo at all.
