INTRODUCTION
Hello there, I hope you are staying home and staying safe. It is no news that everyone has been forced to stay at home to contain the spread of the virus. Well, I hope all of this ends soon as I can’t wait to have my life back, ugh! I am not the one to stay indoor for days o nah… that isn’t me. On a good note though, staying at home for this long has opened me up to quite a lot of things which I would be sharing in Quarantine Diaries. This diary will be short collections of my everyday experiences during this lock down. I hope you find it worthwhile. Before we get into all of that, let me introduce myself.
My name is Tinuola Femi-Johnson, and my friends call me “Hot Caramel”. I mean, I’ve got everything it takes to earn that name- hot slim body, beautiful face, perfect dentition, a charming smile, and a popping chocolate skin, so you don’t expect less. And yes, I am doing well in my academics too. I am a second year student of the Department of Mass Communication, in the University of Lagos. I have always wanted to be in the media, so I think I am getting it right. I love talking, meeting people, travelling and above all, writing. I am from a family of five which includes myself, my parents and my two siblings- that’s Ayoola, my elder brother, and Wonuola, my younger sister.
Before now, my family didn’t really spend much time with one another. My parents were always on business trips, my elder brother, like me spends most of the year in school and my younger sister schools in an all boarding secondary school, so we don’t get to see one another often, except on really special occasions like Christmas. The lockdown has brought us to stay together for the first time in years and each day brings with it something new. I have decided to take you on this journey of experience and don’t worry, it will be worth every second.
