VOX POP
MY QUARANTINE EXPERIENCE
In this vox pop, students share their experiences in this “stay-a-home” period.
NAME: Okoye, Chisom Favour
DEPARTMENT: Department of EnglishLEVEL: 400L
EXPERIENCE: Experiences can be positive or negative. Mine fits into both. On the positive side, I have been able to learn new things, relearn some and unlearn all the rubbish I have learnt in the past. On the other hand however, I am fed up of being locked down at home. We don’t run no grocery mart in my house, so the feeding can be compared to when everything was normal. I am not an outdoor person but staying indoor for too long is not my thing. I miss a lot of things and at the same time, I appreciate this break.
NAME: Inda-John Elizabeth Oiza
DEPARTMENT: ClassicsNAME: Inda-John Elizabeth Oiza
DEPARTMENT: ClassicsLEVEL: 300L
EXPERIENCE: Just learnt much more. Learnt graphic design, text animation video, read a lot, and honestly, I am not bored. I am even praying for more time.
NAME: Odubiyi Oluwatamilore Eunice
DEPARTMENT: Department of English.
LEVEL: 300L
EXPERIENCE: There is no lockdown here actually. I spend time at my mum’s shop and I have learnt more about business generally as well as convincing customers to buy goods. I have also learnt how to bargain for lower prices, so that I’d be able to sell at a reasonable price.
