FACULTY OF ARTS DECLARES LECTURE FREE DAY AS IT IS SCHEDULED AS VENUE FOR UNIVERSITY-WIDE VACCINATION

The faculty of Arts has declared, Tuesday, 24th August as lecture free. This development arises from the scheduling of the Faculty of Arts as the venue of the University-wide vaccination and health check, which began on Monday, 23rd August.

As part of measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and ensure a safe learning environment, the vaccination exercise will provide for all willing students, staff and dependants to be vaccinated freely.

Upon the advice of the Director of the UHS, Dr. Ronke Ajav, requesting that Deans should provide open air stand points for the exercise, the Faculty of Arts Quadrangle will be the point of vaccination for staff and dependants. Students would be vaccinated at the basement of the new faculty building.

For the student vaccination, the AFAS Executive members will be vaccinated first, and all departments will subsequently follow in alphabetical order. The University-wide vaccination and health check is open to everyone in the University of Ibadan.
