TLDS CALLS FOR DONATION FOR JAW WAR 2021

The Literary and Debating Society of University of Ibadan has called for donations from the general public to fund the upcoming 2021 edition of Jaw War. This was made known in the statement which included the society’s account name and number that was released by the society on September 1 and signed by the president of The Literary and Debating Society, Ayeni Otito-Jesu Joshua.

It was stated that the Jaw War competition has grown from hosting only five hundred people about five years back to hosting five thousand people and one hundred speakers. It has also grown in intensity and quality with each year coming with its dynamics. It will however be going national for the first time, hence the need for donations for adequate funding.

The Literary and Debating Society also stated that the society has a goal of receiving six million naira worth of donations which they hope to achieve by November 15.

The Jaw War Competition which held last in 2019 due to the spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 will begin on September 29.
