AFAS ELECTIONS END AS AFASITES DEMAND A RETURN TO THE TRADITIONAL PAPER BALLOT SYSTEM
AFASites have demanded an annulment of today’s elections after the servers shut down for a third time and the electoral Chairman suggested that the elections be continued tommorow.The suggestion was firmly rejected by most AFASites as they chanted “Cancel it, Cancel it”.
The uproar caused the FLC Speaker and some members of the council to call for a congress. This however infuriated the Sub-Dean, Dr. Babatunde Blavo who saw this as a disrespect to his office as he left the voting centre angrily.
While the chairman of the electoral committee addressed the crowd explaining the reason for the epileptic nature of the network and suggested that the election be concluded the following day, his suggestion was vehemently opposed by AFASites who demanded that the whole process be cancelled, demanding a return to the ballot system.
