By Elizabeth Inda-John and Olajide Oladokun
Here is what the speaker has to say:
AFAS PRESS: Can we meet you please?
SPEAKER: I am Rt. Honourable Olasoji Akindejoye, the Speaker AFAS Legislative Council 2021/22 parliamentary session.
AFAS PRESS: How would you describe your experience in the hallowed chamber, as an honorable and as a speaker?
SPEAKER: Challenging and exciting.
AFAS PRESS: What’s your view about the past administration? Both the executive and legislature.
SPEAKER: Well, both arms in the past administration did their best in serving the association though with lots of ups and downs which are sometimes usual in politics.
AFAS PRESS: You were part of the house that approved the budget for the dinner last session, what can you say about the VP’s action?
SPEAKER: As much as I would not want to talk about it, I’ll say she did what she thought was right, or for reasons best known to her.
AFAS PRESS: What can you say about other members of your cabinet?
SPEAKER: They are wonderful people who are ready at all times to serve the best interest of the association.
AFAS PRESS: What should AFASITES watch out for in the new semester?
SPEAKER: The very best.
AFAS PRESS: Your advice for the freshers.
SPEAKER: First, let me congratulate them on their admission into the Nigeria Premier Faculty in the Nigeria Premier University. They should be up and doing in their studies while they engage in extracurricular activities on campus but balancing that with their studies is very important.
AFAS PRESS: A word for staylites and finalists.
SPEAKER: The staylites and the finalists should continue to take advantage of learning and research opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop themselves.
