The President of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS), Akinyoola Emmanuel is yet to respond to the allegations of misconduct bothering on refusal to follow due process in organizing the Call off party. This is a development that was confirmed by the Sub-Dean of the Faculty in a letter sent to the Faculty Legislative Council (FLC) on Monday, 21 November, 2022.

The letter, addressing issues of lack of disrespect for constitutional authority, states,

“The gross disrespect for constitutional authority is unbecoming of a student of our great university, and even so, a student of the premier faculty, faculty of Arts.”

He further charged the honorable members to look into this recurring issue in the Faculty and take necessary steps.

“I implore the honorable house to take the necessary constitutional measures that are appropriate to deal with this kind of unruly behavior,” the letter reads in parts.

This was after the President was issued a summon on 14th of November, 2022 regarding the call off party and was given a 24 hours ultimatum to respond to the allegations, as reported by AFAS Press.
