Disqualified AFAS Presidential Candidate, Richard Elijah, Pens Letter to AFASites, Says He is Innocent of Accusations until Proven Guilty

The Ex-Director of Welfare and Social Services in AFAS, Richard Elijah, who was disqualified from the faculty’s presidential race due to financial misconduct allegations has penned an open letter to AFASites to reassert that he was wrongly accused by the FLC.
In the letter, Richard Elijah, stated that his constitutional rights were infringed upon as he was not allowed to participate in the screening process which was held on Monday, July 17, before he was disqualified by the Electoral Committee.
He further stated that he was wrongly accused without proper investigation.
“I am not guilty of the allegation until I am proven guilty by the investigative committee or the management and this is why I stand against the electioneering process that stumbled me out of the race,” the letter read.
