The General Secretary of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students, Adedeji Olawunmi Wilhelm, has apologized to AFASites on his inability to conduct the second ‘Faculty Marker Board Sanitation Initiative (FMBSI)’ which had been earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 30,2023.
This apology is contained in a statement made available to AFAS Press by the General Secretary on Saturday in which he expressed regret on the inability of his office to hold the second FMBSI exercise due to the “inadequate information regarding the accessibility of faculty lecture rooms”
“We regretfully inform you of our inability to hold the second Faculty Marker Board Sanitation Initiative (FMBSI) exercise for September as scheduled. As the office of the General Secretary promised, the sanitation exercise is slated to be held twice a month. While we held the first exercise on Saturday, September 23, 2023, we intended to hold the second exercise on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Unfortunately, we encountered an issue with inadequate information regarding the accessibility of Faculty lecture rooms, which left us with no chance to execute today’s exercise”.
He further apologized for the inconvenience and assured Afasites on his commitment to a better service delivery. He also promised to conduct three sanitation exercises in October in order to cover the lapses.
