SFA Clinches Victory, Wins 100,000 Naira in the Final Game of Sigma Chief’s League

Soccer For All (SFA) football team clinched victory in the finals of the Sigma Chief’s League held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the SUB football pitch, University of Ibadan. Following an intense game with TomTom Fc, which ended in a 3-3 draw, SFA earned her victory in a penalty shootout.
The finals also witnessed the emergence of ASSE as the winner in the female category.
Sigma Chief’s League is a tournament open to registered undergraduate and postgraduate students in the University of Ibadan. The League featured sixteen male teams and twelve female teams which ran simultaneously within the space of two weeks.
Ibrahim, a 400-level student of the Faculty of Law and member of the SFA football team, was awarded the MVP, while Korede of Prime FC received the title of the highest goal scorer. Also, Suliyat and Sylvia from the Statistics department were awarded the highest goal scorers for the female category of the tournament.
The event was graced by the Sigma Chief, acting Sports Directors, the UI’SU President and other executive members, special guests, old and loyal Sigmites, and many spectators.
