Jaw War 2024: Arts, The Social Sciences, Law, and Tech Qualify for Semi-Finals

The Faculty of Arts has qualified for the round of semi finals in the faculty round of the ongoing Jaw War 2024. They qualified after defeating their opponent faculty on the quarter finals round held on the 8th of February, 2024 at The Social Sciences Large Lecture Theater.
Represented by the speakers, Olayide Bolaji and Yetunde Ososanya, the Faculty of Arts garnered 81.9% points against the Faculty of Basic Medical Science who scored 64.08% points after they debated on “Is Austerity a valid Economic Policy for reducing National Debt?”
The Faculty of The Social Science won with 85.41% over the Faculty of Dentistry with 80%, on the topic “Foreign Aid: Enabling Sufficiency or Perpetuating Dependency in African Nations”.
The Faculty of Law scored 83.75% against the Faculty of Science with 80.50%, on the topic, “Protectionist Trade Policies or Free Trade: A More Effective Tool to Africa’s Economic growth?”
Lastly, the Faculty of Technology competed against the Faculty of Agriculture with Tech scoring 78.91% and Agric emerging with 78.83%.
