AFASIEC Begins Sale Of Forms

The Association of Faculty of Arts Students’ Independent Electoral Committee has announced the commencement of sales of forms to Executive positions on Friday, March 22, 2024, in a Special Release tagged Sales of Form/Resignation

The special release contained the obtainable executive positions and the cost of their forms. The cost of the form for the position of the President is going for N5,000, the Vice President’s for  N4,000, the General Secretary’s for N4,000, the Assistant General Secretary’s for N3,500, the Director of Welfare Services’ for N3,500, the Financial Secretary’s for N3,500, the Public Relations Officer’s for for N3,500, the Director of Sports’ for N3,500, the Director of Social for N3,500, and the Treasurer’s for N3,500. 

The release, in part, addressed aspirants to “Reach out to the General Secretary (AFASIEC) for the purchasing of the forms.”

Also, a clause was added “Let it be known that all aspirants should not be holders of any office at any level in the university.”

Worthy of note is the new development that AFASIEC has put the position and sale of form for office of the Director of Welfare Services separate from Director of Socials, as against the previous system where both are tied to one office/role.
