UI Management Announces Deadline for Payment and Registrations, Silent on Fees As Session Begins on Monday

The management of the University of Ibadan has on Sunday announced that the closing date for all payment and registration for both fresh and returning students for the 2023/2024 session is August 4th.
In the memo signed by the University’s registrar, Mr Saliu G.O, it was stated that there won’t be reopening of portal after the said deadline.
“This (the deadline) will be followed by 2 weeks of late registration with a penalty of N20,000.00 from Monday 5th August 2024 to Sunday 18th August 2024 (18 weeks after the portal opens for fresh students and 10 weeks after the portal opens for returning students).
“There will be no re-opening of the portal for fee payment or course registration after closure as directed by the Senate. Students who do not register appropriately will not be allowed to write examinations,” the memo reads.
Recall that the University management is yet to announce the fees payable as the academic session commences on Monday. The university community waits for the announcement of fees payable amidst the ongoing agitations against increment of fees.
