AFAS FLC Approves 106,800 for Honourables Welfare Budget

The AFAS Faculty Legislative Council (FLC) has approved the Legislative Welfare budget of N106,800 for plenary and Valedictory Sittings.
The budget presented at the 3rd Plenary Sitting held today Saturday 27th July, 2024 by the Vice Chairperson of the House Welfare Committee, Honourable Olabisi sums up to One hundred and seventeen thousand naira only (N117,000).
The budget was subjected to review by honourable members, Honourable Yeboah Daniel suggested a breakdown of N400 to purchase snacks for 18 Honourables for six (6) plenary sessions, N700 for two bags of Sachet Water for the plenary sittings equating to Forty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Naira (N47,400). Also, the Valedictory Sitting, N1,000 to purchase food for 36 Honourables and Three (3) Bottled Water PAcks which was calculated as N1,800 x 3 = N5,400 equating to Fifty Four Thousand (N59,400) totaling to One hundred and six thousand eight hundred naira only (N106,800).
The motion for the adoption of the budget was moved by Hon. Olufemi of the Linguistic Constituency seconded by Hon. Babatunde of the Classics Constituency.
