The highly anticipated Quarterfinals of Jaw War: Rise of Legends, originally scheduled for Saturday 7 December, 2024, have been unexpectedly suspended.
This announcement was made today by the Disciplinary Committee of the Literary and Debating Society (TLDS) in an internal memorandum addressed to senators of the society.
According to the memo signed by the Committee’s General Secretary, Ajise O. Israel, and Afolábí E. Simisólá, the Chairperson, the suspension is due to “pressing matters arising that require immediate attention.” Although specific details of these matters remains disclosed, the committee emphasized the need to resolve the situation.
In response, an emergency senate meeting has been scheduled to take place at the Student Affairs Conference Room to address these issues.
Recall that the ongoing Jaw War: Rise of Legends has been characterized by controversies as constituencies like Alexander Brown Hall, Clinical Sciences, Dentistry and Pharmacy has been banned.
