Defending Champion Philosophy Begins Super Cup Opener with a Commanding 2-0 Win Over Urban and Regional Planning

The opening match of the Super Cup 2024 saw Philosophy defeat Urban and Regional Planning 2-0 at the Old Football Pitch, SUB, on Friday, 6th December 2024, at 2:00 PM.
At the beginning of the highly anticipated opener, Philosophy dominated proceedings and almost scored with a long-distance effort from Justice, which hit the goalpost.
As the game progressed, neither team was able to score, and they had to settle for a 0-0 draw in the first half. However, the second half proved to be different as Papi, Philosophy’s forward, drove home a clear pass from midfield to make the scoreline 1-0.
Philosophy were not to be denied a second goal a few minutes later, when Papi dribbled past the Urban and Regional Planning defense line and passed to his teammate, who tapped it in from close range.
With the score at 2-0, Urban and Regional Planning could not mount a comeback, and the referee called an end to the game. The win means Philosophy are through to the next round, while Urban and Regional Planning are knocked out of the competition.
