UISU Holds Personality Lecture

The University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UISU) on Wednesday held its personality lecture as part of activities marking the ongoing students’ union week.
The event, which took place at the Alumni Hall, featured a stellar lineup of speakers and panelists.
In her opening remarks, the Union’s Vice President, Bólúwatifẹ́ Aboderin, set the tone for the event.
The guest speaker, Dr. Tolulope Aderemi, delivered a thought-provoking speech on the topic “Building the Brand: YOU.” He emphasized the importance of standing out in a competitive labour market, highlighting the need for students to focus on building their reputation, network, and net worth.
“You must be able to answer the question: WHO ARE YOU???” Dr. Aderemi stressed. “Bring value to people if you want to attract value because that’s how you make money.”
The event also featured a personality lecture delivered by Professor Temisan Ebijuwa of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), who represented Professor Ayodeji Omole. The lecture was themed “Rising Above the Borders: The Champ and His Pain.”
A network session and panel discussion followed, featuring panelists from various fields who shared their insights on the topic “Roadmap to Success: From the University of Ibadan to the World.”
The event ended with a question-and-answer session and a photo opportunity.
