“Please pay your faculty due” – Mojuba Appeals as Low Attendance Dawdles Stakeholders Meeting

AFAS President, Olamilekan Adeniyi popularly known as Mojuba, has appealed to students present at the association’s stakeholders meeting held today, Thursday, 9th of January at the Small Lecture Theatre, to tell students from their departments to pay their dues.

The president made this call while addressing students from different departments at the earlier publicized stakeholders meeting. The meeting, of which, the expected attendees includes all AFAS Finalists, AFASites aspiring for elective positions within and outside AFAS and others was marked with absenteeism from many of the expected attendees.

The absenteeism dragged the commencement of the meeting as a consensus was reached if the meeting should be postponed or continued. The meeting agreed to go on with other agendas in the meeting as only two out of student’s union positions aspirant are presented.

The Social Director, Praise Awosemo, was called to present the plans for the association week. He explained that the AFAS week will be a four-days event and will be starting with a grand rally.

“As part of my plan to switch up the social, there will be a lot of changes to the activities we usually have for the association week. For example, normal personality lecture, we’ll have something creative that all AFASites can relate to,” he mentioned.

The social director also made the call for sponsors to make the events a success.

The meeting ended with discussions on the AFAS FYB week, state of the faculty’s toilet, the Nescafé garden and other related issues.
