In a letter received by AFAS Press today, he stated, “Due to the state of my health, I regret to inform the house of my absence at the valedictory sitting today.”

Olamilekan is expected to be at the valedictory sitting to dissolve the parliamentary session. However, he had delegated the duty to the Vice President, Oshotse Jane.

Addressing the concerns on the plaques, he stated that he could not ascertain if the necessary amendments would be effected before the end of the sitting, thereby imploring the house to make use of the available plaques.

“I have delegated my duty to dissolve the parliamentary for this session to association Vice President.

In that light, the plaques will be worked on for amendment. However, I can’t ascertain it would be ready before the end of the sitting. I implore the house to consider this and use the plaques for the sitting for today. Aftermath, all needed correction will be made,” he said.
