AFAS FLC Mandates Timely Delivery of Awards for Valedictory Sitting

The Faculty Legislative Council (FLC) of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS) has issued a firm directive to the Executive Council regarding the timely delivery of awards for its Valedictory Sitting.
In an official release titled “Notification to the Executive” signed by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olajide Miqdad, the FLC reminded the Executive Council of the approved budget of ₦124,800, which was allocated to produce seven plaques and sixteen framed certificates. These awards are intended to recognise and honor the contributions of FLC members during their tenure.
The release read in part “The approved budget which the Executive Council was in charge of are the following: Seven Plaques, Sixteen Framed certificates. The above must be made available before the end of the Valedictory sitting and the House shall not tolerate anything not in accordance with the above approved budget or any form of irregularity.”
The valedictory sitting, which is currently in progress at the Faculty of Arts NFCO1, marks the final session of the legislative calendar and serves as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the outgoing council members.
As the session unfolds, all eyes are on the Executive Council to fulfill its mandate and uphold the integrity of the faculty’s legislative process.
