Babatimehin Peace Emerges President-Elect as TLDS-UI Elects New Executives

Babatimehin Peace has emerged as the President-elect of The Literary and Debating Society (TLDS), University of Ibadan, alongside other executives.
Babatimehin was elected at the Society’s election held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Students’ Representative Council Chamber, Students’ Union Building, University of Ibadan.

Going unopposed, Babatimehin won the presidency with 20 votes, with only one dissenting vote while, Olatunji Oladoyin was elected as the Vice-President with 17 votes and four dissenting votes.
Other elected executives include: Mayowa Adekola, who was elected General Secretary with 15 votes and six dissenting votes; Filade Michael, who secured the Treasurer position unopposed, winning all 21 votes; and Akinloye Goodness, who defeated Ogundeyi Grace, to become the Public Relations Officer (PRO) with 17 votes to Grace’s 4 votes
The election result was signed by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Morakinyo Temidayo and General Secretary, Oyedijo Olanrewaju.
