FLC suspends Hon. Elijah for two plenary sessions, bans him from participating in Dean’s Cup

In a plenary session held in Room 40 Faculty of Arts, the house has suspended Hon Elijah of the Religious studies constituency.

He was alleged of bringing the name of the association to disrepute and disclosure of confidential information.

According to the Speaker, Hon. Elijah engaged in a physical combat in the football pitch with his teammate, Folarin Emmanuel of the Religious studies department during the Super 4 competition which led to a slight injury. He was also accused of disclosing confidential information during the competition.
Hon. Raji Noah from Philosophy constituency moved the motion for suspension and was seconded by Hon. Collins. Hon. Noah stated that Hon. Elijah should be suspended for violating Article 46 subsection (i), (ii), (iv),and (v)of the Afas constitution.

Also, Hon Collins moved a motion, seconded by Hon Onyeyechi that Hon Elijah and Folarin Emmanuel Tomiwa be suspended from participating in the upcoming Dean’s cup.

“Having violated Article 46 subsection (i), (ii), (iv),and (v)of the Afas constitution, the house hereby suspend Hon Elijah today 15th of April , 2023 for two sittings which will be effective from the next sitting. Also, Hon Elijah and Folarin Emmanuel has been suspended from participating in the Dean’s Cup for the 2021/2022 academic session having gone against the rules and regulations of the university community”. The speaker said.
